World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth

Organized by Kris Krug

Help Us Get to Bolivia for The World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth!!!
Help Kris & Danielle document World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth. This is so important we booked the trip without approaching sponsors or funders and need your help to cover the bill!

This conference is April 19 to 22, 2010 in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

Unlike the United Nations Climate Change Conference that happened in Copenhagen, Denmark last December, this conference gives importance to the voice of the people. All attendees are given the opportunity to add to the conference agenda that will be the building blocks of the final conference documents.

Some of the topics that are to be discussed include: structural causes of climate change, institution of a Climate Justice Tribunal, climate migrants and refugees, climate debt, technology transfer, and action strategies for dealing with impacts of climate change.

Chairman of the Environmental Parliament Dr Pano Kroko has granted journalistic accreditation to documentarians Kris Krüg & Danielle Sipple. We will both be particpating in the conference proceedings documenting the people and process.

In coordination with other online, independent & citizen journalists, we will be recording film, photos, and stories from the event to be shared widely around the world.

Kris was an official TckTckTck photographer at the Fresh Air Media Center at COP15. He was able to shoot the ongoings of the media center, as well as the negotiations at the Bella Center and the protests in the streets of Copenhagen.

This journey will allow for the documentation of this historic event. Any support will go directly to cost of travel to the conference.

Thank you for your support!
